Portland, Ore. – Oregon Governor Kate Brown has released a new Youtube video reacting to the new research that shows social distancing may have prevented as many as 18,000 Oregonians from getting Covid-19.

Officials want to keep current distancing restrictions in place for a while longer. The latest projections show current guidelines need to stay in place until May, to flatten the curve.

Researchers say Oregon’s healthcare systems would have become overburdened by late April if nothing had been done to fight coronavirus.
