Eminem is celebrating 12 years of sobriety. The “Lose Yourself” singer posted a picture of his sobriety coin on Tuesday with the caption, “Clean dozen, in the books! I’m not afraid.”

Several fans congratulated Em on his accomplishment and shared their own stories of sobriety. Eminem credits his daughters for helping him kick his prescription opioid habit.

“My organs were shutting down. My liver, kidneys, everything… They didn’t think I was going to make it. My bottom was going to be death. The doctors told me I’d done the equivalent of four bags of heroin. They said I was about two hours from dying,” Eminem said speaking about his habit in a 2007 interview.

During the release of his 2010 album, Recovery Eminem said he was “better than ever” and that putting out an album like Recovery let people know, “that no matter how down you are, it does get better.”
