Drake Co-Sign Gave Nigerian Artist Millions Of Streams

Drake has the magic touch.

After Drake co-signed a Nigerian artist named Oxlade, it helped his streaming numbers exponentially.

Oxlade talked about Drake sharing his song “Away” and said, “It felt special. He screenshotted the song on Apple Music, and he posted it on his story. Ever since then, it’s been really crazy for me.”

He added, “I had three million streams the next day. Extra, that’s the Drake effect, man. Everybody needs the Drake effect. I obviously hit him up. I thanked him and everything.”

Oxlade added that he hopes to work with Drake in the future.
