DMX Reveals How He Mended His Estranged Relationship With His Mother In Final Interview

DMX’s last interview before his passing is set to air on May 16th on TV One.

The rapper shares intimate details of his relationship with his mother who abused him as a child.

In a teaser for the special, DMX reveals how seeing his mother during VH1’s Couples Therapy in 2012 made him feel.

“It wasn’t a hurt cry. It was like yes, this is what I need,” says DMX during the clip. In 2019 DMX discussed his tormented relationship with his mother in a GQ interview, “[she] beat two teeth out of my [expletive] mouth with a broom.”
