Gabrielle Union tweeted her special meeting with Janet Jackson, “I didn’t think I looked cool enough to meet my hero,” the actress tweeted. “Yall, she got up, hugged me & told me she was proud of me. I. Died.”

The tradition comes after Justin Timberlake was allowed to perform during the 2018 Super Bowl, 14 years after his involvement of “nipplegate” when he performed with Jackson and accidentally exposed her breast during the performance.

Jackson held responsible for the “wardrobe malfunction,” however her fans celebrate her each year during the Super Bowl, they will have more to celebrate as Jackson will be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame later this year.
