DaBaby is tapping into a more vulnerable side of his persona with his new single, “Intro.”

Thursday, the North Carolina-bred rapper delivered the deeply-personal track which details the recent loss of his father, his mother’s battle with cancer and battling the highs-and-lows of superstardom.

“Intro” is the first taste of new music from DaBaby in nearly six months, since he made his debut on the Billboard Hot 100 with his breakout hit “Suge.”

Earlier this year, the Southern lyricist inked a joint venture deal between his indie label South Coast Music Group and Interscope Records, and by March, dropped his critically-acclaimed mixtape, Baby On Baby.

Most recently, DaBaby announced he’ll be dropping off a new album Kirk later this month.
