DaBaby is the new king of the Billboard 200 as his new album, Kirk, debuts at number one.
Kirk earned 145,000 units to become the “Suge” rapper’s first number-one album, replacing Post Malone’s Hollywood’s Bleeding, which drops to number two.
“When I got the news I took my time letting it sink in cause this one different,” DaBaby commented about the news on Instagram. “Google me and see what I done been through in the past 12 months. Then ask yourself how da f**k I’m STILL standing on all Ten. Blood, Sweat, & Tears for it. The world ain’t never seen a n***a like me win. GOD is GREAT. WHATS NEXT? My last name #KIRK.”
DaBaby’s first album, Baby on Baby released in March, peaked at number seven on the Billboard 200.
Migos, Nicki Minaj, Gucci Mane, Chance the Rapper, Moneybagg Yo, Lil Baby, Stunna 4 Vegas, YK Osiris and Kevin Gates are among the artists featured on Kirk.
