COVID-19 Deaths Will Eclipse 9/11

New York’s COVID-19 death toll is expected to eclipse that of the nearly 3,000 who died on 9/11.

The state reported 500 deaths in a single day bringing the latest total to 2,935 as of early Friday afternoon.

Rueters reports New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio is pleading for medical professionals saying his city needs 1,000 nurses, 150 doctors and 300 respiratory therapists.
