Colin Kaepernick Thanks Rihanna for Superbowl Boycott
Colin Kaepernick was watching who wasn’t watching the Superbowl.
Rihanna posted a video mocking a fellow airline passenger asking how he could watch the game. She also shared a message with a picture of Kaepernick taking a knee. Rihanna captioned it, “For those of you who thought I was watching the Superbowl, we beefin.'”
Kaepernick saw the protest and thanked Rihanna for supporting him. He tweeted, “I really appreciate Rihanna keepin’ it 100.” He added a fist emoji.
Kaepernick was a quarterback in the Superbowl after the 2012 season. He has been out of the NFL for several years. He has filed a grievance with the league because he believes teams are colluding to keep him out after his roll in social justice protests.
