Chris Brown Released From Custody In Paris
Chris Brown is denying the rape allegations against him.
As previously reported, the singer, a man identified as his bodyguard, and another man were arrested in Paris for “aggravated rape and drug-related infractions,” according to a French judicial source. He was detained on Monday and released Tuesday night. However, a judicial source tells ABC News that “the investigations are still ongoing.”
Chris has not been charged with a crime. Authorities had two more days to formally charge him. It’s unclear if he is free to leave France.
The singer posted on Instagram a graphic that reads, “THIS B**CH LYIN’.” In the caption, he wrote in all caps, “I WANNA MAKE IT PERFECTLY CLEAR……THIS IS FALSE AND A WHOLE LOT OF C[R]AP!”
He added, “NNNNNNNNEEEEEEEEEEVVVVVVVVVVEEEEEERRRRRR!!!!!! FOR MY DAUGHTER AND MY FAMILY THIS IS SO DISPRESPECTFUL AND IS AGAINST MY CHARACTER AND MORALS!!!!!”
In 2015, Brown, father to four-year-old daughter Royalty, completed probation stemming from the 2009 felony assault of his then-girlfriend, Rihanna. However, he’s been in trouble with the law since.
In 2016, he was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, and in 2018, he was busted on a felony battery charge.
