It’s a big day for Chance the Rapper: His new album has debuted at #2 on the Billboard album chart with first-week sales of 108,000 units.  It’s also the week’s most-streamed album.

The Big Day becomes Chance’s third top 10 album overall, and the highest-charting album of his career to date.  It’s his first studio album: He previously released three mixtapes: 2012’s 10 Day, 2013’s Acid Rap and 2016’s Coloring Book.

10 Day and Acid Rap were free downloads; Coloring Book was released exclusively via Apple Music, and then was made available on all streaming platforms. When it debuted at #8, it became the first streaming-only album ever to chart and, later, the first streaming-only album ever to win a Grammy.

Earlier this year, Chance finally made 10 Day and Acid Rap available via streaming and retail; as a result, Acid Rap ended up debuting at #5 on the Billboard chart.

Also charting: Rapper NF debuts at #1 with his new album The Search; it’s his second number one release. And elsewhere in the top 10, Key Glock and Young Dolph‘s collaborative album Dum and Dummer debuts at #8. It’s both artists’ first ever top 10.
