Chance The Rapper Vents His Frustrations On Twitter
Chance the Rapper‘s new album The Big Day celebrates his love for his wife, but following its release, memes mocking the Chicago star for that very thing have been spreading online. Now, Chance has seemingly responded to the hate with a long Twitter thread, in which he takes people to task for trying to make him feel bad about expressing himself.
I’m getting this crazy feeling that people want me to kill myself 😢

He continued. “That’s not my vibe at all, but i feel the push. And I feel like even more than that, some people want me to feel ashamed. Shame is heavy yo. And feeling shame for something that you were once prideful about is super heavy.”
After talking about how music is thing that influences him the most, he adds, “So for anybody out there that’s texted me the past few days, I appreciate you. And I’m happy being able to spend time with my family and do a lot of the things I used to do before I got so wrapped up in making this project. And I wanna let some of these feelings go cause that’s what Twitter is for.”
Then, he seemingly trolls his critics by writing, “And the number one thing that’s been on my heart and has been reaffirmed in the last week that I’m now 100% sure of is… That I LOVE my wife.”
The Grammy-winner was quick to add, however, “I just want to reiterate that I don’t want to kill myself, nor am I ashamed of loving my wife. I think I just wanted to say out loud that I see the vibes.”
Some fans responded by suggesting that Chance should learn to accept the general consensus that The Big Day isn’t his strongest work.
Accept criticism my man, learn from it. It’s not personal, you are talented but that’s not what you’ve been putting out.
