Chance the Rapper Encourages Chicago Teachers During ‘Saturday Night Live’
Chance the Rapper showed his support for the Chicago teachers union while hosting SNL on Saturday. (October 26th)
The “Hot Shower” rapper took to the stage to deliver his monologue while wearing a Chicago Teachers Union sweatshirt.
“To the teachers in Chicago, I know you guys are on strike right now. I fully support you,” Chance said Saturday, adding the joke “I just wish that when I was in school my teachers had gone on a strike.”
Michelle Gunderson, a public school teacher and trustee for the Chicago teacher’s union tweeted during SNL, “Your teachers thank you.”
