Cardi B‘s legal woes are likely to continue, after the Bronx-bred rapper turned down a plea deal in her ongoing assault case.
Friday morning, the “Bodak Yellow” chart topper made a brief appearance in a Queens, NY Criminal Court for her alleged involvement in a brawl at a strip club in Queens. Cardi is facing misdemeanor assault charges after being accused of throwing bottles and chairs at two bartenders at Angels Strip Club back in August 2018.

The altercation is believed to have started after the Grammy-winning artist accusing the two women of having sex with her husband, Offset.
Prosecutors offered Cardi the opportunity to plead guilty to one of the charges, and if she’d done so, the other charges would have been conditionally discharged. However, she declined the offer and will return to court on May 31.
