Cardi B Drops New NSFW “Press” Music Video
Cardi B is taking control of her narrative in the new, racy video for her latest offering “Press.”
The video opens with Cardi pulling a gun on two of her lovers — and what happens next is certainly left open for interpretation. She’s whisked away to a police interrogation, then put in front of a grand jury, and finally thrown into jail.
The NSFW visual arrives on the heels of Cardi’s current legal troubles. Tuesday, the Grammy-winning artist appeared before a Queens judge and pleaded not guilty to charges stemming from a fight in a strip club last summer. The 26-year-old was arraigned on an 11-count indictment, including felony charges for second-degree attempted assault.
But if you ask Cardi, she doesn’t see jail time in her near future. During a recent concert in Los Angeles, the Invasion of Privacy star assured fans that she would maintain her innocence her freedom, Page Six reports.
“I ain’t going to jail, I got a daughter!” the rapper defiantly told the crowd.
Cardi’s next court date is unknown at this time; while her co-defendants must appear on September 9, she’s been excused.
