A news anchor in Los Angeles has issued an apology for what he said about Cardi B and her comments about the George Floyd protests.

Doug Kolk of KTLA assumed that Cardi was trying to incite violence with some of her statements.

Some fans caught what Kolk said and started tweeting about it. Cardi retweeted those comments and started going after Kolk and the station.

Kolk eventually apologized saying, “I apologize to @iamcardib if I took her words out of context. I respect her for using her platform to connect with people during these difficult times and it was wrong of me to not let her full voice be heard.”
