Cardi B Dishes On Motherhood In ‘Harper’s Bazaar’
Cardi B‘s rag-to-riches fairy tale is being brought to life on the latest cover of Harper’s Bazaar. Inside the mag’s new issue, the Bronx-bred rapper opens up about her whirlwind career, family and whether or not she’ll reconcile with her husband Offset.
In the candid interview, Cardi revealed that Offset suggested marriage counseling following their highly publicized break-up, but she wasn’t into the idea.
“I didn’t want to go to marriage counseling,” she told the fashion publication. “He suggested it, but it’s like, ‘I don’t want to go.’ There’s no counselor or nothing that could make me change my mind.”
When asked if she and Offset have an actual chance of getting back together, she simply responded: “I don’t think so,” adding, “Who knows? You never know, you can never tell.”
Elsewhere in the cover story, Cardi candidly discusses the changes she’s endured since giving birth to her first child Kulture in July 2018.
“I just wanna be home all the time,” the vibrant 26-year-old said. “I don’t care about going out anymore. The things that I thought matter, it didn’t really matter.”
She continued, “I’m just so focused on my kid. I don’t be sad for long because whenever I’m with my baby, it’s like, ‘Yeah, whatever. F*** everybody.’”
In addition, Cardi teased that, while she hasn’t started working on a follow-up to her Grammy-nominated Invasion of Privacy, she plans to put out an album “every year.”
“I like my sound. I like what I rap and I like my flows and I like how I do music,” she says. “I do it for me. I do what I like.”
