Cardi B and Bruno Mars latest collaboration “Please Me” has cracked the top rankings of the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
Monday, the record entered the chart at number 5, making for the Bronx-bred rapper’s seventh top-10 hit and Mars’ 16th.
The sultry single, however, isn’t the first time the duo have worked together and subsequently climbed to the top of the charts. Cardi and Mars first teamed up for a reworking of the R&B crooner’s 2016 effort “Finesse,” which propelled to number 3 last year.
Taking to social media, the “Money” chart-topper celebrated the feat with fans and hinted that an accompanying visual for the record would be arriving sooner than later.
She captioned a screen grab of the Hot 100 chart data and said:
At the moment, “Please Me” appears to be a standalone single, although Cardi has previously detailed plans for releasing her sophomore album at some point this year.
