Blazers Signing Carmelo Anthony To A Non-Guaranteed Contract
NBA Veteran Carmelo Anthony Joins Portland Trail Blazers. According to ESPN, the 10-time All Star will sign a non-guaranteed deal. The deal will become official if he is still with Portland after January 7. Last season, the 16-year vet played in just 10 games with the Houston Rockets. The 35-year-old averaged 13.4 points, but made only two starts. The Rockets then traded him to the Bulls, but he was waived before getting a chance to play with Chicago. For his career, Anthony has played in over 1,060 regular season games and has a scoring average of 24.0 PPG. In 72 playoff games, he has averaged 24.5 points per game. Should Anthony get back to form, it would be a welcoming sign for the Blazers. The struggling squad currently holds a 4-8 record in the Western Conference.

The 35-year-old Anthony is a 10-time NBA All-Star and 6-time All-NBA Selection. He comes to the Blazers who are struggling early this season with a 4-8 record, and have particularly struggled with production at the forward position this year with the injury to Zach Collins that will sideline him for over 4 months.
