A portrait of Beyoncé that was used for a Vogue magazine cover in 2018 has been acquired by the Smithsonian National Portrait Gallery in Washington D.C.

24-year-old Tyler Mitchell took the photo and he shared the news on Instagram with a shot of the picture.

Mitchell said, “A year ago today we broke the flood gates open. Since then it was important to spend the whole year running through them making sure every piece of the gate was knocked down. And now I’m glad to share this picture is being acquired into the Smithsonian National Portrait Gallery’s permanent collection.”

No word as to when the portrait will be on display.
