Beyoncé and JAY-Z are the newest members of a Tiffany campaign that features an exclusive art piece from Jean-Michel Basquiat that ironically includes the jeweler’s signature robin egg blue.
Tiffany acquired the never-before-seen painting from a private collector who had it since the 1980s.
Tiffany’s addition of JAY-Z and Beyoncé for their year-long campaign, dubbed “About Love,” will find the couple together with Beyoncé wearing the ultimate Tiffany diamond, its 128.54 carats, and 82 facets and was only worn by three other women, Audrey Hepburn, Lady Gaga, and Mary Whitehouse after it was unearthed in South Africa in 1877.

For the ad, Beyoncé rearranged the iconic song from “Breakfast At Tiffany’s” as JAY-Z films her on a Super 8 camera. Having the Basquiat painting as a part of the campaign is a full-circle moment for the Carters who admire, relate to, and collect Basquiat art.
The new Tiffany ads will be featured in Harper’s Bazaar UK on September 2nd and the video will be launched on Tiffany.com on September 15th.
insane to me that rich people can just buy art from artists who have passed and no one else gets to see it, kinda gross imo like these pieces should be able to be seen by everyone, thats literally what basquiat woulda wanted https://t.co/GVb3lRSkAE

The irony of it all. Suddenly these non educated idiots on here wanna “protect” Basquiat 💀. Chile in his life documentary showed when he was alive he was around the most richest ppl in NY, he WAS one of them and enjoyed all the riches of selling his paintings to rich buyers
