August Alsina has left people wondering if he has a new “entanglement.”
The singer, who infamously had an affair with Jada Pinkett Smith, seemingly came out as a member of the LGBTQ+ community on Monday night’s finale of VH1’s The Surreal Life.
During the episode, he introduced a man who helped him find “a love that feels limitless.”
“Love showed up, but in a new way,” Alsina said during a confessional. “I want to share that and really honor the person that I love and that loves me back and teaching me so much about love and healing.”
“I want to do that in front of the world because it defies all the constructs that one would say love is supposed to be or love should look like,” he added before motioning the man to join him on camera. The two then embraced and exchanged “I love yous.”
Alsina did not further define their relationship or clarify his sexuality. While some people online praised him for “coming out,” others speculated it was all just a stunt for the show’s ratings.
