Anderson .Paak‘s journey to Ventura has earned him his first top 10 album on the Billboard 200.
The 11-track effort debuted at number four on the chart with 55,000 units sold in its first week, Billboard reports.
Ventura is .Paak’s second project under Aftermath Entertainment, and it’s jam-packed with love letters, social commentary and star-studded collaborations. Guest features range from Smokey Robinson, Brandy, Andre 3000, and the late Nate Dogg.
The album features the previously released singles “King James” and “Make It Better.”
The California crooner’s 2018 effort, Oxnard, previously debuted at number 11 on the Billboard 200.
.Paak closed out the second weekend of Coachella with an epic set featuring appearances from fellow L.A. lyricist Jay Rock and Brandy.
