A$AP Rocky‘s legal woes have continued to mount with the rapper now being detained in Stockholm under suspicion of assault, the New York Times reports.

According to the outlet, a court ruled on Friday that the rapper, born Rakim Mayers, was a flight risk and must be confined to a detention center for two weeks as the investigation into his alleged assault case continues.

As previously reported, Rocky was apprehended on Tuesday night on suspicion of assaulting a passerby on the street in Stockholm. Sweden’s Prosecution Authority chose to proceed with formal action but reduced the charge from aggravated assault to assault.

In light of the charge, however, Rocky will miss several high-profile performances including a headlining set at London’s Wireless festival on Sunday. In addition, tour dates in Ireland, Germany, Russia and elsewhere across Europe will also be affected due to the rapper being detained.

“He, of course, is very disappointed and this is a catastrophe for his tour,” the Testing lyricist’s lawyer, Henrik Olsson Lilja, told The New York Times.

Lilja feels the detention of his client was unnecessary and would be appealed. Rocky, as well as his legal team, maintain that he acted in self-defense.

Earlier this week, the “Praise the Lord” artist shared footage of the incident on Instagram, claiming the alleged victims had been harassing him. In one clip, there appears to be a bit of a scuffle between Rocky and the victims in which one of the men’s headphones breaks apart. In the second, the rapper and his entourage repeatedly tell the men to stop following them.

Per the Times, a trial would ensue if prosecutors found there to be sufficient evidence following the investigation.
