Looks like A$AP Rocky‘s not coming home any time soon.  Officials in Stockholm, Sweden have elected to prosecute the rapper for assault.

“The three individuals held on remand since 5 July on suspicion of committing an assault in central Stockholm have been charged. One of the individuals concerned is an American artist,” reads the statement Thursday morning from Swedish prosecutors.

“I have today commenced criminal proceedings against the three individuals suspected of assault causing actual bodily harm, having come to the conclusion that the events in question constitute a crime and despite claims of self-defense and provocation,” said Stockholm public prosecutor Daniel Suneson.

As previously reported, A$AP Rocky, born Rakim Mayers, was arrested following a June 30 incident in which he and his entourage claimed they were harassed by two men on the streets of Stockholm. Despite attempts to diffuse the situation, the alleged harassment escalated into a brawl which was recorded by an onlooker and later went viral.  A$AP Rocky maintains he and his entourage acted in self-defense.

“The three individuals will remain on remand until the trial. Stockholm District Court will decide on a date for the trial to commence,” the prosecutors’ statement reads.

Earlier this week, prosecutors declined to charge the man whom the rapper said was harassing him, leading to the altercation that landed him behind bars.

A$AP’s bodyguard had filed a complaint against the unidentified man after he threw his headphones at the bodyguard, in response to the bodyguard physically pushing and lifting the other man.  Prosecutors ruled that throwing the headphones could, therefore, be considered self-defense.

Wednesday morning, fellow A$AP Mob frontman Ferg shared an update on his close friend and frequent collaborator’s imprisonment.

“I spoke to my boy he’s in good spirits he just wanna get home,” the “Plain Jane” lyricist captioned a photo of Rocky. “Waiting on that court date to see wassup. He sends his love!”

Ferg added: “Thank y’ all for all your support. This s*** is really annoying honestly because it really don’t make sense to me. But I’ll let God work the way he works. Everybody keep your prayers up for my boy.”

As previously reported, Swedish investigators dismissed the charges against Mustafa Jafari, the man who is seen in footage from the incident throwing a pair of headphones at Rocky’s bodyguard on June 30. The prosecutors alleged he was acting in self-defense.

In addition, Rocky’s mother, Renee Black, has voiced her opinion that her son was targeted by Swedish authorities.
